Drinkin trucker....

so were at a pilot n I look outside and I see the trucker beside us drinking a 24oz Bud Lite...um....SO WRONG!! then he gets in his truck drives somewhere then comes back n parks in the same place beside us like half an hour later....I get it having a beer at the end of the day sometimes is good, but um NOT out here!!

Im shocked! seriously that's so wrong Im kinda at a lost for words...huh...oh n then he gets out n throws two 24oz cans away, good thing he hasnt left again huh!

SOOOOOOO WRONG that's all I think of!

hello drinking and driving is wrong to begin with n then adding a semi to that yea real smart!

GYPSY SOUL

I love the home goods that make life easier, so Ill take them where ever I go.                             My heart n' soul filled with those loving people n memories I hold so dear, no one can take them from me.

I'll die with pride knowing I never regretted or took life for granted. 

The days of boredom and nothing to do are over, cause this girls got a gypsy soul and she was made for leaving!

I don't know where my life is taking me

just a RANT!

So I understand that plastic bags are not good for this beautiful planet, Im all for using reusable bags they sell pretty much everywhere now, Ive got 6 of my own! there awesome they come in great colors n patterns(Zebra,Leopard lovely fun colors)

Anyways back to my original thought were in California n southern CA passed a law "Ban Plastic Bags"

but you have to pay 10 cents for every paper bag you need to use....ugh....I had to do that today yea I only needed one WOOPIE right?

no its not woopie! first off I don't think n I will NEVER think it is ok to have to pay for those not so heavy duty paper bag. hello we pay a butt load of money every time we go shopping....ok maybe not every time, but whatever.....its annoying!! 

So my advice is to get some reusable bags there amazing, most are eco-friendly, heavy duty, fit a lot of stuff in them(if you get med-lrg bags) like I said before lots of choices ;) Amazon has great ones also...just sayin

and I think they'll end up saving money in the long run if this "LAW" gets passed in all the states!!

woah...long week!

Got a 2269 mile load...HELL YEA...thats what Im talkin bout, picked up in Michigal Friday 05-18 had until Tuesday the 22nd which gave us PLENTY of time to get from Michigan to California!! Talk about cross country ;) n it was a great trip!
Saturday we stayed at the T.A in Council Bluffs,NE oh man they had the best storm it started raining/hailing when I was jogging/walking round the truck(figured out that 39 times around the truck n trailer is a mile)
anyways back to the storm it was awesome the lightening lit up the sky in beautiful hues of pink n the hail n rain was amazing! close to dime size hail!!!! didnt like it very much when I was getting hit lol so I had to get back in the truck. still very cool :)
Sunday 05-20 we stayed in Devner,Co now I like it there mainly because one of my all time favorite football players signed with the Broncos after being let go from the Colts of course I wont turn my back on the Colts so now I gotta go with the Broncos to lol...I LOVE YOU PEYTON MANNING!!!!
stayed in Beaver,UT Monday 05-21 nice lil place!
then Tuesday after Big Daddy delivered we went to the Fontana,CA terminal to do a 34 hr restart. now were headed to Sparks,NV got a 561 mile load which is better than nothing!

ooooooo before I forget......

heres some advice or maybe just a compliant....goes out to most of the trucks out there....I get many of you are out on the road alone for months at a time but just because a woman is walking around a truck or in the truck stop doesn't mean shes a "LOT LIZARD". seriously no one can afford me but Big Daddy lol....I don't even look like a hooker alright so please keep yourselves together n try n stop looking at me like Im a piece of meat...act like a gentleman! thanks

been a long day!

on Wednesday 5-16-12 we got to the shipper in Illinois at 1:30am, put the trailer in the dock then parked in the bob tail parking, they said they'd call Big Daddy's phone as soon as they were done...so we both fell asleep and woke up round 6:30am with no call. So Big Daddy went in the the shipping office to find out what was going on and if they were going to be done soon, well come to find out they had canceled the load all together like an hour or two after we got there cause they didn't have enough freight and didn't day anything!!!

yea it was so annoying like come on its your business you should know what you have and what you don't and HELLO!!!! its not professional when you leave people thinking your gunna call them and don't!

anyways needless to say we had to wait til 10am to hooked back onto the trailer and leave...that's when his company told him the shipper voided the load all together....so we drove to the "Des Plaines Oasis" in Illinois which I really like those places cause they've got different food places and there's mini shops and a bonus they remind me of the mall but a little smaller and over the interstate lol

so any who we were there til around 12:30am today cause we got a load that delivered here in Michigan which btw I love this state it smells good and the scenery is beautiful! Now Iowa smells real sweet outside every time we go there I have my window down, totally wish I could bottle that smell up lol

irratation!

well sat for 4 days in Greer,SC no big deal ya know I mean I don't mind sitting around for a 34hr restart but any longer than that I start getting antsy and just feeling coped up like a caged animal. haha crazy I used to not be like this...well on the 10th the shop finally got the part they needed to fix the cooling fan and got the truck in the shop...YAY!!! or so I thought 10hrs later Big Daddy went n checked to see if they were done, well they were n guess what??? the truck needed to go to the dealership in Detroit...lovely...boy I was NOT happy, that whole day I was so frustrated just sitting around thinking... when are these people gunna be done seriously how long does it take to fix the cooling fan? my frustration went away real quick when my mamas voice came into my head "be like a duck in a rain storm, let all your worries and frustrations roll off your back...life's short baby girl, enjoy it" hmmmm...I can always count on my moms voice popping into my head when I need to hear her voice lol

Anyways we got a new truck so that was a relief!! now were headed to Illinois n I love it there, Chicago is amazing one of my favorite cities in this country..

So here is to keeping the silver side up and enjoying life

day 2 at the terminal not only waiting for a part to fix the cooling fan but were getting a 34hr restart which is great that means well beable to great those long mile loads that brng in the big bucks every trucker wants n needs!!! lets face it who doesnt love money??

However I do get impatient waiting, Ive never liked waiting I cant remember a time in my life Ive actually wanted to wait for something, except punishment when I ws younger but thats another thing for another time! 

anyway you do learn a lot about yourself and the person your with, I mean come on were together for 24/7 for months at a time basically how could you not learn stuff and well its kinda amazing learning something new about eachother the good and the bad...I do have to say it does get hard sometimes but I wouldnt trade this ride for anything right now, just enjoying every minute of everyday like it could be my last.....cause you never know!

who knew?

Sitting in the drivers lounge at the terminal in South Carolina listening to truckers b.s around, trying to top the other guys story or who can speak the loudest gathering many eyes, it brings a lil smile to my face because it reminds me that these men aren't just tired weary drivers their people with their own stories to tell, even though most of the time its all b.s its still theirs to share with whoever will pay attention. 

  arguments may come but its all settled with a handshake and smoke outside, cause at the end of the long hard day a phone call home and a fellow trucker is all you've got!

lets give it a GO!!

Well Ive never blogged before...guess there's a first time for everything like most people say. So here we go, life on the open road as a rider with an over the road truck driver, yeah Im not driving or dealing with people at shippers/receivers but Im out here experiencing everything else, along for the ride, living life like a modern day American gypsy I guess and I love mostly everything about it! I do miss hanging out with my friends and boy do I miss my dogs Coco n Mocha but when Im in town I soak it all up cause there's no time like the present to spend time with people you care about and love!
