movin up in life n' it feels so GOOD!!!

WOW!!! been super busy this last week, moved into the house, unpacking "btw I dont like" well still unpacking lol and I just got my CPR certification! YAY ME :) 

   I absolutely love all my roommates and defiantly dreading Big Daddy going back out on the road soon but I know this is what needs to happen. Hopefully he'll get a local job soon so he'll be able to come home every night to me

which reminds me.................WE'RE ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im so happy and so very excited to become Big Daddy's wife one day :-D

to my future in-laws I love you guys so much and I'm so happy and proud to have had you guys in my life these past 5 years and super excited to have you as my mother n father in law and to Big Daddy's 2 brothers and sister you guys are amazing and I love you guys!

LIFES CHANGING and WE'RE ENJOYING IT!

well its officially home time!!! 103 days out Id say Big Daddy deserves his rest :)

So, Im getting off the truck for good which is hard but this is what we have to do to live the life we both want. I think it'll be good, moved in with Big Daddy's bestfriend and wife and I gotta say Im enjoying it so far, its so nice being around women again n not just truckers lol

 gunna be getting a job and hopefully Big Daddy will be getting the local job he wants and deserves!!!

I've decided Im still going to blog but of course it wont be about the open road, just life and poetry! until next time enjoy every breath you have and love with all you've got!!

Bummer dude!

ok...I've been down for the last 5 days....Big Daddy told me I'm going to be getting off the truck the next time we get into town for home time, I knew this life on the road wouldn't last forever but I didn't think it would be over this quick. ugh no matter how I try n think of this situation it makes me sad, seriously sad! Like the only thing I like about it, is I get to have my lil' man Coco with me, he would be with us now but of course Big Daddy's company doesn't have a pet policy which they SHOULD!!! 

    Anyways there's my self pity party.....time to put my big girl pants on n get over it huh?

Im trying I really am.

HOT HOT HOT!!

Yesterday the air conditioning went out, let me tell you I will not take nice cool air conditioning for granted ever again! It was so hot but hey could've been worse, we could be back east where its hot and humid...I swear I would die!

 Anyways were headed to the Salt Lake City terminal to get it fixed, hopefully they'll be able to fix it quick so we can hit the road again! Oh I picked up the July issue of Challenge Magazine and much to my surprise in the letters to the editor section there was the very first thing I sent, I totally forgot I had even sent it in lol I submitted it under Nika Smith instead of Nicole Smith, I dont remember why I did that cause only a couple people call me Nika. Oh well huh, I think its pretty awesome they put that in there, I submitted a poem, keeping my fingers crossed they print it :)

red orange skies after scary storm...AWESOME!

we were in Kansas relaxing for our 10 hour break, when all of a sudden the truck started rocking back and forth like someone was outside moving the truck. So Big Daddy gets up and looks outside and guess what he saw? grey clouds, lightening and the rocking wasn't a person lol it was the 70 m.p.h wind!! I'll be very honest I was a bit nervous thinking that a tornado was gonna happen any minute, but hey I had my camera ready!!

 well after the wind, rain, lightening stopped the clouds started to part and on the horizon was the most beautiful sky I've ever seen....it was different shades of red and oranges...pretty awesome that's for sure!

driving on I-80-W in Wyoming enjoying the beautiful scenery when I look up and see what appears to be an eye in the hill! There was only one eye, kind of like the hill was winking ;)
